We can all agree that 2020 has been a challenging year for many industries including banks and credit unions. Yet, there are still so many bright spots, innovations and victories to be celebrated! Financial institutions in the six New England states and the agencies who represent them have been busy submitting their best campaign work for the NEFMA Awards Gala!

The entry deadline was January 7, 2021. Our independent panel of judges will select the most creative, innovative and successful campaigns to celebrate at the Awards Gala on March 11, 2021.

Tyler Butler

Tyler Butler’s work as a corporate social responsibility practitioner is world renowned as she has created and led global giving programs for many global Fortune 500 companies. Her firm, 11Eleven Consulting, has continued this tradition of activating efforts to better society through their work with a plethora of international companies.

Monika Cālīte

As the CIO of UXDA, Monika encourages hundreds of financial companies worldwide to form emotional connections with their customers and become loved brands. She actively shares knowledge about the Financial UX methodology and the power of user experience by publishing dozens of UX articles, presenting at conferences and being the creator and the voice behind the Financial UX Podcast. It has helped UXDA become a well-known influencer in financial UX with a following of 300,000 financial and design industry professionals from 127 countries. UXDA’s innovative approach has also been awarded by several globally famous design and finance awards like IF Design Award, A’ Design Award, European Business Award, Banking Technology Award. Monika is the best choice to turn to for financial UX inspiration, knowledge, support and experience.

Binna Kim

Binna Kim is an expert communications consultant with over a decade of experience working with financial services brands, including RBS, American Express, BBVA Compass and Lord Abbett. She has also helped major tech companies target the financial services vertical, working with firms such as Oracle, Intel and AT&T. As a multi-channel, integrated communicator, Binna thinks holistically about how brands can leverage earned, owned, shared and paid media to achieve results. From international advertising campaigns to targeted media relations, Binna is channel agnostic and focused on the end objective.

Scott Markman

Scott Markman has 39 years of experience in corporate design and branding, including the last
31 as MonogramGroup’s President. The agency’s corporate clients have included Eli Lilly, Fiskars, LifeFitness, Swingline and TCF Bank, among others. Their association and not-for-profit clients have included the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, State University of New York, University of Chicago and the University of Florida. In addition, Scott established Monogram’s China practice in 2007, which became the leader in building brands in the West for Chinese manufacturing companies. He has lectured on brands and marketing at Northwestern Kellogg School, University of Chicago Booth School, Miami University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, the Jilin Province Commerce Department, the China Executives Club in Chicago, the National Venture Capital Association and the British-American Business Council. Scott has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Ad Age, ARD German TV, Chicago Tribune, China Daily USA, CNBC, Crain’s Chicago Business,, Industry Week, The Atlantic Monthly, WGN Radio, Xinhua (China’s press agency) and Yahoo! Finance. In addition, Monogram was a contributor to two China books in 2014: China Goes West and China’s Super Consumers. Scott earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1981 from Washington University in St. Louis, with a concentration in marketing.

Lane Sutton

Lane Sutton is a marketer passionate about connecting people with brands through content, strategy, and storytelling. He currently leads recruitment marketing and employer branding for professional and early career Talent Acquisition to attract and hire the future of retail at Walmart. Prior to Walmart, Lane has done marketing at HubSpot, Disney, Wayfair, TripAdvisor, and Formlabs. Outside of work, Lane enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking.
